Financial planning career was not my initial passion, because I thought everyone should know how to DIY their own financial planning.
I was in pharmaceutical sales career for 15 years and had a good income. I saved before I spend my money, managed to clear my mortgage loan before I turned 30 years old, and drove a good continental car back then. I never have problems with cash flow or savings and I had purchased medical insurance for my family members.
However, after my 3rd daughter was born and we purchased our 3rd property, I realized that our savings (me and my husband) were not going to sustain our increasing expenses! Not to mention clearing our mortgage loan before retirement age and sending our 3 girls to universities.
I started to realize, without proper planning and documenting our financial goals, we tend to think that everything is in order and we will ‘ride’ through the changes in our lives, but in actual fact, WE are NOT!! Most people, like me, will have our own “blind spot” and cannot see what we really have and need for the next 5 , 10 or 20 years. Just like a hairdresser will definitely can’t cut her own hair properly..
So, with a passion to help young families realizing their financial goals, I switched to become a family financial advisor. My mission is to help parents realize their financial needs in every life stages, so they are clear about every steps and decisions they make!
